Procedures

  1. gather material
  2. find the mass of the food using a triple beam balance in grams
  3. using a displacement method find volume of the food in milimeters
  4. divide the mass by the volume to get the density in grams/milimeters
  5. record all data
  6. place target and launcher 5 meters from each other
  7. load each food in launcher, fire each food at the target with full pull
  8. place two spotters near the target to locate the farthest flung food
  9. measure the splat radius of the farthest flung food
  10. record data
  11. clean up all materials
